Reishi (Lingzhi) also called Ling zhi is one of the most important mushrooms used for centuries in the Far East. Valued for its health-promoting properties, including support for the circulatory system, lowering cholesterol and maintaining proper immunity of the body.
Shen tonic
Reishi has been used in China as a Shen tonic for hundreds of years - its effect was supposed to help in the case of insomnia and calm down the overstimulated body. Common knowledge about the harmonizing effect of reishi has been confirmed in numerous studies today.
A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology showed that reishi mushroom fruiting body extract can extend the total sleep time, including the NREM phase, responsible for night regeneration.
