DESCRIPTION:
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid from the Omega-3 group ) is an important building block of nerve cells and the retina of the eye. It supports the proper development of the child's nervous system, in particular the brain and vision, affects the proper development of visual acuity.
Additional intake of DHA has a positive effect on immunity and reduces the risk of allergies and asthma.
According to nationwide studies on nutrition, DHA intake in a group of children aged 1-3 years is on average 10 mg/day (boys - 9 mg, girls - 11 mg). This result is worrying, because the intake of DHA recommended by the Polish Group of Experts is min. 100 mg of DHA per day.
