DGL, or deglycyrrhizinated licorice, is a form of licorice root that has been specially processed to remove the glycyrrhizin.
DESCRIPTION:
DGL is a special licorice root extract devoid of glycyrrhizin (deglycyrrhizin). Excessive concentration of glycyrrhizin can cause cardiac arrhythmias. The deglycyrrhizinated form provides all the beneficial active substances contained in the licorice root.
Licorice root has large amounts of flavonoids.
Licorice root is helpful in diseases of the digestive system. It has an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membranes of the digestive tract and accelerates the healing of ulcers in the digestive tract. Licorice root also has an expectorant effect.
COMPOSITION;
DGL (licorice root extract), organic aloe vera, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, fatty acid (vegetable source), silicon dioxide.
