Resveratrol is a derivative of stilbene, which belongs to the group of plant polyphenols, which are widely recognized as ingredients with an exceptionally beneficial effect on health. The richest source of trans resveratrol is Japanese knotweed. Resveratrol is also a valuable component of dark grape juice. It can also be found in wine, especially red. Due to the unique properties of this compound, the search for its new sources is still ongoing. What does micronization mean? In this case, micronization means reducing the particles of the loose form of the extract to such sizes that its absorption by our body is easier, faster and thus more effective. Micronized particles powder particles are 100 to 200 times smaller than regular extract particles. Their size is in the range of 1-4 microns. Most micronized formulations available are in the 149-224 micron range. The absorption of this form of the preparation is about 200% higher than that of regular trans resveratrol.
